Proof, not promises.
Why teams choose Halo
Halo occupies a spot the market had been missing: genuine ITIL-aligned service management depth — incidents, problems, change, CMDB, SLAs — with workflow automation and AI woven through the platform rather than bolted on. The licensing is refreshingly unusual too: everything included, priced per agent, deployable in the cloud or on-premise. For mid-market IT teams it tends to win on the honest maths: the capability of the big platforms at a fraction of the running cost, administered by the team you already have.
It also suits teams with complex requirements and genuine edge cases, because it doesn't fence you in behind SaaS APIs — you can get at the SQL to customise reporting, for instance — a degree of control most modern platforms gave up years ago. The market has noticed: Halo was named a Challenger in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for IT Service Management Platforms. That's the profile CHC Helicopter chose it for, and the profile we see most often.
Migrate to it
Most of our Halo work starts on another platform. We run migrations from ServiceNow, Freshservice, Cherwell and legacy or homegrown service desks — process mapping, data migration, configuration and cutover. The data move itself is fixed-price (that's what the tooling buys you); the consultancy runs as fixed-hour packages you can extend as needed, or as a bespoke project priced from an assessment.
The reference point: CHC Helicopter, a global aviation business, moved from ServiceNow to HaloITSM with BDQ at scale — with an estimated licensing saving of around 70%. If you're at the "should we even leave" stage rather than the "how" stage, start with moving off ServiceNow — the honest routing guide, including when Halo isn't the answer.

Set it up
Greenfield implementations, done in the right order: process first, then platform. We start with who the desk will serve and align the service catalogue to them, then design around your team structure and routing requirements — so tickets land with the right people from day one. From there we configure Halo to match: workflows, SLAs, CMDB structure, the portal, and the integrations that make it stick. And if you're running enterprise service management (ESM) rather than pure ITSM — other departments on the same platform, or external end-user customers with their own reporting requirements — we configure each audience's business requirements, not just IT's.
Get more from it
Already running Halo? The platform moves quickly — new capability lands every release, and most estates use a fraction of what they're licensed for. If you feel you're not getting the best from it, our fixed-price Halo Health Check is grounded in your actual usage data — current behaviour and bottlenecks, not just configuration screens. A typical finding: too much work going straight to level three, not because your people are wrong but because teams and routing were never configured, or the service catalogue doesn't let customers find the right entry. From there we implement HaloAI properly (what it does and how to switch it on), build out integrations and reporting, and tune the configuration debt that accumulates in any live system.
Have us run it
For teams that want the platform managed rather than another admin hire: PlatformCare covers Halo administration, upgrades and a change allowance for improvements on a predictable monthly plan — run and improve, one agreement. → PlatformCare for Halo
For MSPs: HaloPSA
We implement HaloPSA for managed service providers — quote-to-cash, contracts, billing and profitability reporting, the PSA depth a generalist service desk doesn't have.
For French-speaking teams
Evaluating Halo from France, Belgium or Luxembourg? We work in English, with documentation available in French — and we've built a French-language starting point. → Partenaire HaloITSM — en français
Evaluating, migrating, or stuck mid-flight on an implementation — a 30-minute conversation with someone who has delivered this at scale costs nothing and usually saves weeks.
