The JSM Health Check
A fixed-price, data-grounded review of your Jira Service Management setup. It answers the questions a maturing JSM estate should be asking:
- What have we configured badly, or unnecessarily?
- Which Marketplace apps are earning their licences — and which are furniture?
- Are automation rules helping, colliding, or just accumulating?
- Are request types and the portal shaped around your requesters — or around Jira?
- Are our Incident, Request and Change processes actually ITIL-aligned?
- Are SLAs, priorities and escalation rules sensible?
- Where are agents doing manually what JSM could automate?
- Are queues and routing putting work in front of the right people?
- Is Confluence a knowledge base or a landfill — does its structure serve anyone?
- Who actually holds admin access, and would governance survive an audit?
- Are the dashboards telling anyone anything?
- What should change now, what should be left alone — and what's the roadmap?
The app-sprawl and licence question is the one we're unusually qualified to answer: we build and sell Marketplace apps ourselves, and the audit runs estate-wide — dev-tool Jiras usually carry worse sprawl than service desks. In a mature estate it routinely pays for the Health Check by itself. Deliverables: maturity assessment and a prioritised roadmap. We run these today for real customers.
Run, improve — or grow your own
Run: administration, upgrades, app estate care, the change queue actually moving. Improve: capability you're licensed for but not using, configured properly — "get more from the Atlassian you own." And the honest third option: if what you really want is a capable in-house admin, we train them — the dual path is deliberate, because the right answer depends on your team, not our sales target.
Proof
Marketplace vendor depth: we run Atlassian at product level, not just admin level — our own apps live in the same estates we manage. It's live today: a major UK food manufacturer uses PlatformCare for Atlassian support. And the long haul is proven: a multi-year managed Jira and Confluence estate for a UK government body, delivered through one of the UK's largest enterprise technology resellers — if your commercial relationship sits with a VAR, we already work that way.
Plans
Three tiers, one dial: PlatformCare Essential — 1 day a month, expert administration and optimisation; PlatformCare Enhanced — 2 days a month, adding the Annual Platform Health Check, included; PlatformCare Strategic — from 3 days a month, adding Quarterly Success Reviews and strategic planning support. Start where you fit and move as your estate does — the tiers are settings on the dial, not cages. Every plan carries the Flex Allowance: unused days roll into the following month before expiring — capacity, not a bank. Days are scheduled up front, on both calendars; plans run on a 12-month commitment; pricing on a scoping call.
