If you are seeking a challenge – take your next career step with us.
We are a small but fast-growing Atlassian partner, reselling software and performing consultancy and training. We specialise in Atlassian products and complimentary technologies, which are used by some of the biggest companies in the world. Knowledge management, defect tracking, service desk, software development workflow, test management - these are all areas that you will come across. As one of our clients said, "with BDQ, now the technology is helping us, rather than us servicing the products" . This is an exciting time to join an early-stage company and help shape its future direction. We already have a mix of customers, both small and large, and are looking to grow.
We are looking for ambitious and keen people with excellent interpersonal, technical, problem-solving and analytical skills to join our friendly and high-performing team. We need people who are digitally savvy and passionate about the role of technology in making organisations ready for the modern world.
You’ll be working with our clients to transform their organisations and the way they deliver services, combining business analysis and digital service design. You will be focused on technology delivery, both internally, and externally, and you will need to develop an in depth knowledge of sophisticated products, and be good at solving technology problems.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in some cutting-edge assignments and to build on your existing skills, working with small teams of energetic, intelligent and creative people.
We have a comprehensive development programme to help you build the skills you need to operate at an even higher level and a senior team with wide-ranging experiences to coach and share ideas with you. We will put you through Atlassian training programs and our expectation is that you will gain certifications.
You will have to travel and work on site as required, potentially anywhere in the world, and some of our partners and clients are based in different timezones, so your hours will have to accommodate this on occasion. Currently, we are a fully virtual company, so there is the possibility of working at home, although this may change in the future.
What we are looking for
You’ll need an inquiring mind, great communication and presentation skills, and the drive to succeed. You’ll also need to be good at working with other people, well organised and able to think on your feet. A positive outlook, enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
You’ll have at least two or three years’ experience, and may come from a startup, consultancy or transformation background. You will need to have a strong technical background, and enjoy working with technology. You will have to develop an in-depth knowledge of the installation and configuration of sophisticated products in order to deliver on customer requirements. The ability to self-start and solve problems, knowing when to reach out for help, is a must. When our customers need to solve a problem, our culture is that we will find a way of helping them.
Some of the qualities that contribute to success in our Company include the ability to apply your skills and experience to a wide range of areas, to pick things up quickly, and to grapple with unknowns and ambiguity.
You’ll be able to demonstrate to us how good you are at:
- Working with technology in-depth and solving problems with it.
- Gathering and interpreting information from a range of sources including workshops, interviews and written documents, then understanding how this can be applied to create a solution.
- Able to work with IT staff, business users and senior stakeholders to understand and map their services and business processes, and identifying what they wish to achieve.
- Being adaptable and responsive – you’ll use a range of techniques and see what works, and ideally you’ll be experienced in working in Agile and/or fast moving and complex environments
- Presenting your findings and ideas in a way that sets out complex issues very simply and explains your logic
- Developing credibility and expertise quickly in unfamiliar or new environments.
This is a very exciting role for the right candidate who is passionate about problem-solving and curious about the world. We do not expect that you will have skills in all the languages listed above, but you must be willing to learn new languages and techniques as required.
We can promise that the work will be varied and interesting, you will become certified in Atlassian products and have plenty of opportunities to develop and grow. There is also real scope for you to shape the future direction of the company, by leading teams and assignments, and taking responsibility for shaping our services, developing new ways of working and marketing what we can do.
In return we will offer a competitive package, and the chance to work on some fascinating assignments with our clients.
You will have a full UK driving license, preferably clean, and be willing to drive as necessary. Ideally you will own a car and have a UK passport.
